Bosch Luys Kloof is ‘n spesiale stukkie aarde in die Karoo in familiebesit wat omskep is in ‘n privaat natuurreservaat. Die visie en strewe is na ‘n ware natuurreservaat instede van ‘n kunsmatige kommersiële ontwikkeling.
Bosch Luys Kloof se aantrekkingskrag vir besoekers is sy besondere natuurskoon, afgesonderdheid en rustigheid. Elke gebou, en veral die gastewooneenhede, het besondere uitsigte.
Hierdie uitsigte/vista van die bergpas kort na die ingang na die reservaat het Thomas Bain en Dr Atherstone in 1871 laat opmerk:
“…A scene burst upon us I shall not forget in a hurry. Breathless I gazed down the valley on the boundless sea of blue mountains, cones and peaks, table tops and jagged lines of hillocks tingled with the faint blush of glowing rays of the unseen sun. What a wild charm thrown over the distant labyrinth of hills in the soft glow of early morn.”
Hierdie uitsig is ook in 1871 geskets deur die bekende Sophia Gray.
